በሩሲያ አስተናጋጅነት የሚካሄደው የ2018 የፊፋ የዓለም እግር ኳስ ዋንጫ ዛሬ መካሄድ ይጀምራል።
የዓለም ዋንጫው በምደብ አንድ የሚገኙት በአስተናጋጇ ሩሲያ እና ሳዑዱ አረቢያ መካከል በሉዝህኒዝኪ ስታዲየም በሚደረግ ጨዋታ ነው የሚጀመረው።
በ21ኛው የሩሲያ የዓለም ዋንጫ ላይ 32 ሀገራት የሚፋለሙ ሲሆን፥ በ32 ቀናት ቆይታም 64 ጨዋታዎች ይካሄዳሉ።
በሩሲያ አስተናጋጅነት የሚካሄደው የ2018 የፊፋ የዓለም እግር ኳስ ዋንጫ ጨዋታዎች በሩሲያ በሚገኙ 11 ከተሞች በተዘጋጁ 12 ስታዲየሞች ውስጥ ነው የሚካሄዱት።
በዘንድሮው የዓለም ዋንጫም የ2014 የዓለም ዋንጫ ያሸነፈችው ጀርመን የሩሲያን የዓለም ዋንጫ በማንሳት በአውሮፓውያኑ ከ1962 ወዲህ የዓለም ዋንጫን ለሁለት ተከታታይ ጊዜ ያነሳች ሀገር የመሆን ተስፋን ሰንቃለች።
ብራዚል ደግሞ የዘንድሮውን የዓለም ዋንጫ በማንሳት ያሸነፈቻቸውን የዓለም ዋንጫ ብዛት ወደ ስድስት በማሳደት ክብረ ወሰኗል ለማስጠበቅ አቅዳለች።

በመጨረሻ ሰዓት አሰልጣኟን ያባረረቸው ስፔን እና ከ8 የዓለም ዋንጫ ተሳትፎ አንዱን ብቻ ማሳካት የቻለችው እንግሊዝም ከሌሎቹ ሀገራት በመቀጠል ግምት ውስጥ ገብተዋል።
በዘንድሮው የሩሲያ የዓለም ዋንጫ ላይ ፓናማ እና አይስላንድ የዓለም ዋንጫ የመጀመሪያ ተሳትፎዋቸውን የሚያደርጉ ሀገራትም ናቸው።
አጠቃላይ የህዝብ ቁጥሯ 335 ሺህ የሆነችው አይስላንድ በዓለም ዋንጫ ታሪክ ትንሽ የህብዝ ቁጥር ያላት የመጀመሪያዋ ተሳታፊ ሀገር መሆንም ችላለች።

የ2018 የዓለም ዋንጫ ከ1 ነጥብ 5 ሚሊየን በላይ ደጋፊዎች ወደ ሩሲያ በመጓዝ እንደሚመለከቱት ይጠበቃል።
በተጨማሪም በመላው ዓለም ላይ ከ3 ቢሊየን በላይ ሰዎች በቴሌቪዥን መስኮት የ2018 የሩሲያ ዓለም ዋንጫን ባሉበት ሆነው እንደሚከታተሉም ተገምቷል።
