በዳቦም ሆነ በተቀነባበረ ስጋ ላይ ያለ ጨው የሰዎችን ህይወት በመቅጠፍ ቀዳሚው እንደሆነ በጥናቱ ተመልክቷል፡፡

በዚህ ጥናት በቀዳሚነት የሰው ህይወት እንዲጠፋ ምክንያት የሆኑ ምግቦች ተዘርዝረዋል። በምግብ ውስጥ አብዝቶ ጨው መጠቀም አንዱ ሲሆን፥ ለ3 ሚሊየን ሰዎች ህይወት ማለፍ ምክንያት ነው ተብሏል፡፡

እንዲሁም የተወሰነ መጠን ያለው ጥራጥሬ መመገብ በተመሳሳይ ለ3 ሚሊየን ሰዎች ህይወት ማለፍ ምክንያት መሆኑ ተገልጿል፡፡

በተመሳሳይ የተወሰነ መጠን ያለው ፍራፍሬን መመገብ 2 ሚሊየን ሰዎች ያለእድሜያቸው ህይወታቸውን እንዲያጡ ምክንያት መሆኑ ጥናቱ አሳይቷል፡፡

እንዲሁም ዝቅተኛ መጠን ያለው ለውዝ፣ አትክልቶች፣ ከባህር ምግቦች የሚገኝ ኦሜጋ 3 እና በፋይበር የበለፀጉ ምግቦች ሌሎች በዋነኝነት ለሞት ምክንያት የሆኑ ምግቦች ናቸው ተብሏል፡፡

ጨው የበዛበት ምግብ መመገብ የደም ግፊትን እንደሚጨምርና ይህም ለልብና ለስትሮክ በሽታ እንደሚያጋልጥ ነው በጥናቱ የተጠቆመው፡፡
