በአፍላ ወጣትነት ወቅት የሚፈጠር እርግዝና በከፍተኛ ደረጃ ለእናቶችና ህጻናት ሞት ምክንያት መሆኑን የጤና ጥበቃ ሚኒስቴር ገለጸ።

ሚኒስቴሩ የችግሩን ተጽእኖ ለመቀነስ የሚያስችል የግንዛቤ ማስጨበጫ ስራዎችን ለማከናወን ከዛሬ ጀምሮ ለተከታታይ 30 ቀናት የሚዘልቅ ሀገር አቀፍ የጤናማ እናትነት በዓልን ማክበር እንደሚጀምር ለፋና ብሮድካስቲንግ ኮርፖሬት ገልጿል።

ከዛሬ ጀምሮ የሚከበረው የጤናማ እናትነት በአልም በአለም ለ30ኛ ጊዜ በኢትዮዽያ ለ12ኛ ጊዜ መሆኑን ነው የሚኒስቴሩ መረጃ የሚያሳየው።

በአለም ዓቀፍ ደረጃ ከ16 ሚሊየን ከ15 እስከ 19 ዓመት ከሚሆናቸው አፍላ ወጣቶች ውስጥ 1 ሚሊየን የሚሆኑት በወሊድ ምክንያት ህይወታቸው እንደሚያልፍ መረጃዎች ያሳያሉ።

በኢትዮጵያም 33 በመቶ ከሚሆኑት በአፍላ ወጣትነት አድሜ ላይ ከሚገኙ ሴቶች 13 በመቶዎቹ ያረግዛሉ ተብሎ እንደሚገመት ሚኒስቴሩ ይገልጻል።

ያለ እድሜ ጋብቻና ጎጂ ልማዳዊ ድርጊቶች ደግሞ ለችግሩ መባባስ ትልቅ አስተዋጽኦ የሚያበረክቱ በመሆናቸው ሰፊ የግንዛቤ ማስጨበጫ ስራዎችን ለመስራት ታስቦ ነው ወሩ የሚከበረው።
